Coaching disabled performers
Finding an opportunity to coach disabled sports people
If you are looking for an opportunity to coach disabled sports people the Disability Sport Cymru National Development Programme may be for you! It's an initiative aimed at developing community based sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Wales. The success of the scheme heavily relies upon the good work of trained coaches and volunteers to help out in local clubs. The programme aims to ensure that all coaches have appropriate training, insurance and police checks and therefore can help coaches working on their programme access training and mentoring support. Each local authority in Wales has a Disability Sport Wales Development Officer who can point you in the right direction.
If you are interested in becoming involved in this programme take a look at their website. This will provide you with further information about the programme and give you all the contacts you need to get involved.
